:eek: :eek: :eek: Well, I'm shocked, but not surprised by yet another energy saving ****** up! Looks like we'll be chucking our "energy" bulbs out! I'm sure the government and greedy energy suppliers could do a lot more to be "greener" :rolleyes:

Just read this (better late than never!). I knew about the mercury and that's the worst aspect of these bulbs, obviously. But they are just completely useless for the purpose! They give off a light that is too dim to see properly by! Awful! The light frequency is not suitable for the human eye. (And don't get me started on those "daylight" bulbs!)
