They've banned me, now!

Hmmm, getting some eBay vibes, here...eBid have banned my forum access forever because my account was 'associated' with another member who was banned! Here's the eMail I received from them:

Hi Angela,

The username has been suspended along with an associated username from the forums. The reasons were given at the time.
We do not and will not tolerate utter abuse and comtempt of our services with new members being welcomed with... 'Don't hold your breath shooterslodge take yer auctions elsewhere'.

I thought only eBay held people responsible for other people's actions! :D

I was banned from the ebid forums forever without them giving me a reason

I later found out from a Tazbar member who was also a seller on ebid that it was because I had discussed Tazbar with other members.

Funny that they were still OK about me buying and selling there - but they would have made money from that. I have since closed my account with them and cancelled my subscription

Its a disgrace  that they have banned u Mrs Jarre..... especially seeing as you were'nt the culprit  :p

Moonwitch, if Ebid cant take a little competition then they should get out of the rat race. I think its jealousy that TazBar are doing better then them and thay have been at this game for a longer time.

Mrs Jarre,

Does this mean they have also suspended your auctions? Or just the forums??

No, they just suspended me from the forums, but I've just written to them and told them to cancel my seller account as well. Not that I ever sold much to start with!

Below is an update:

My reply to them:

Excuse me, but I have no idea what you are talking about! Are you thinking
of my husband's account? I'm not responsible for his actions, or anyone
else's, whoever I'm supposed to be 'associated' with, so please re-instate
my forum account.
Thank you
Angela

Their reply to me?

Hi,

This is a related account. It has the same address details.
We have a responsibility to our users and have already given a response
regarding this matter.

Best Wishes

I have just sent this reply:

Well, that's just great...I've never put a foot wrong on your site and this
is the way I've been treated. You can delete my seller account also, and can
expect some extremely bad reviews on other sites. Seems like you're going
the same way eBay's gone with the way they treat their members. How you can
possibly expect one person to accept responsiblity for another's actions is
beyond me!We may live in the same house, but we both take responsibility for
our own actions, not each others'! It's not the first time I've heard of
something like this happening from eBid...I didn't believe them until now!

Honestly, I've never been abusive on any website, ever! Well, I can live without eBid...there's plenty more out there!

Shocking! That's eBay's trick to ban a member without reason! Seems like once a site starts to become popular they get on some sort of power trip!

Well I've just received an email to say they've reinstated my forum account. I'll let you know if anything else develops!

Well, they're now going through my listings, finding excuses to remove them and threatening to ban me! I've already told them to delete my account, but they wouldn't. That's two emails I've received in the same day to say that they've removed a listing, but they won't reply when I ask them why they've been removed.
